Payment Policies
Poughkeepsie Studio
|
- All students are expected to commit to a full 12-week semester of lessons and tuition.
- NEW students enrolling mid-semester commit to the remainder of the semester with tuition pro-rated accordingly.
- Tuition is prepaid on a 12-week semester basis (Fall & Spring semesters) and includes a
mandatory recital fee for all students under the age of 16.
- Exceptions to the above apply only to students above the age of 16. Adults & teenagers
above the age of 16 are expected to reserve as regular an appointment time as their schedule permits
and to schedule specific dates in advance with prepayment expected for no less than 4 lessons at a time
(or for the remaining number of lessons scheduled in that semester). Students above the age of 16
are expected to attend lessons regularly, similarly to younger ages in the Studio. Excessive irregularity
in lesson attendance may forfeit the privilege of the reserved regular appointment time in favor of a more
reliably scheduled student.
- Summer sessions will specify a minimum number of lessons expected for enrollment with
prepayment also expected. This applies to all ages of students. Adults & teenagers over the age of 16 will also specify
in advance lesson dates appropriate to the session and will also prepay for the scheduled number of lessons.
- Payment in full is due no later than the first lesson of each payment period.
- Financial Hardship requests for a half-semester payment option should be discussed in advance with the teacher.
- The tuition amount is based on the number of lessons (private & group) scheduled by the studio for
that period, including any scheduled recital.
- There are no refunds of the Recital fee. The Recital Hall requires advance booking and
a consequent reliable source of advance financial funding. Students who are aware of potential
conflicts with a scheduled Studio Recital and who have financial concerns regarding payment of the Recital Fee
should discuss this with the teacher well in advance.
- Payment may be made by check or in cash. Checks may be made out to:
Amelia S. Parks OR to Amelia Seyssel.
